Why is Don Ganster a "Friend of PSA"?

 

Don has been a great asset to our South Mountain Community College campus. He is always helpful, friendly and creative when we have events which need to be catered. He has gone the extra mile to get to know people.

A friendly greeting from Don has become something I look forward to each day.

Don has gone out of his way to share his creativity with food and his joy in life. ~Karen

Don is a very good nomination for Friend of PSA.  Don has gone out of his way time and again to help the faculty, staff and students of SMCC.  Don has contributed his skills and expertise to many SMCC functions.  His care for his job is evident in his pioneering new menu items and faithfully preparing staff favorites.  Although Don doesn’t work for MCCCD, he is a valued member of the campus with a heart. 

We already know what we will lose when Don leaves this campus. ~Denise

 “Don continues to amaze all onlookers with his professionalism.  He has struggled against all odds to have our catering events come off first class while keeping the cafeteria “Take Ten” running like a well oiled machine.  He listens to our suggestions and often times he incorporates them into his menu or just surprises us with his own ideas.  Don has served us from his heart at SMCC and is a true gem to work with.” ~Kathie

Don, has not only provided excellent service to our campus he has gone out of his way to be personable with all of us his help making fancy platters and his creative mind has really helped all of us. We thank him for everything. ~Lupe M. King

Faculty, who worked very close with Don last semester putting together Faculty Development Workshops.  Even though this is from faculty I believe it is a good comment to add since he is leaving.

Don has been an outstanding supporter of SMCC Faculty Staff Development.  He has always delivered quality food with a flare.  ~Jill Seymour

Don is amazing under pressure! He is usually under staffed but the meals he serves are always great, hot and on time! He also provides kind of “Fun with Don in the Kitchen” classes that are so appreciated. He has shown several of us how to make peach cobbler in less than 15 minutes! And we shared our delicious results with our co-workers! ~Heather & Deb

Don has always made sure he gives his best when he sets up for our events. He puts in that little added special touch to assure all his caterings taste great and the presentation is great. He takes the time to come up with new and exciting dishes and desserts. Don works very hard and enjoys the challenge to assure the success of his caterings. I feel very fortunate that he is working at South Mountain Community College so we can benefit from his expertise. Plus on top of making sure his caterings are a success, he also runs the cafeteria and cafeteria staff. He is actually three employees in one!
