Highlights
- A detailed summary of 63 common student information business processes has been developed and mapped. A sub-team of CIT will categorize these processes by functional area and determine which of these processes can be standardized across the district.
- Proposal to provide resources for staffing backfill at the colleges has been submitted to the district for 07/08 budget year. Financial Aid submitted for review, a separate, additional staffing backfill proposal.
- Several colleges have completed and are now posting college-specific dashboard status reports with all colleges scheduled to provide dashboard status by September 5.
- An additional technical consultant has been added to the project team to assist with modification retrofitting, which completes the planned staffing level for that team.
- Janice McClain from the DO Training team gave CIT a demonstration of the User Productivity Kit (UPK), the tool that is being used to develop both written and on-line training material for the SIS project.
- Resource 25 (R25) is a facility (room) scheduling tool for meetings and events for use by all colleges. R25 is a campus-wide, multi-user system to schedule special events. R25 directly interfaces with the new Student Information System (SIS) to maintain facility synchronization for efficient use of space. Resource 25 includes robust reporting capabilities and a powerful web component. The flexibility and scope of R25 functionality allows users to precisely manage space and other resources at the activity level and to structure events to meet scheduling needs and goals.
