Employee Self Service is a set of features that allows all employees direct access to the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to view and update information about themselves.   This Self Service roll-out is scheduled in several phases throughout 2005.  The first three phases were completed by January 2005.  Future phases are scheduled to include:

  • Phase 4 - all non e-mail employee access
  • Phase 5 - additional features such as reviewing benefits, automatic deposits, and submitting W-4 changes.

HRMS Direct Access

Note:  For network, general access, PAT tool, and other technical issues, please contact the Help Desk.

Is Self Service Safe and Secure?  Yes it is.  All electronic communications with the HRMS system are fully encrypted.  Passwords are NEVER transmitted in clear text.  The system is protected behind the firewall.  User access is very tightly controlled so that any particular person can only see what they are allowed to see as part of their job function.  For example, as an employee, you can only see information about yourself, and no one else.

Why Can't I Access Self Service From Home?  This is one of our safety precautions.  Currently, access is limited only to within the Maricopa network.  Until we can be assured that all related technology and safeguards are in place,  we do not want to allow access from the "rest of the world".

The best way for you to assure your own privacy: DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH ANYONE.
