A Global Environment for International Students
Located in the deserts of Arizona, South Mountain Community College enjoys snow-covered peaks to the north, cooling lakes to the East and West, and easy access to the Sea of Cortez only four hours south. The climate of Arizona is as diverse as the college itself.
South Mountain Community College’s International Intercultural Education (IIE) program has been designed to create a global awareness among our students, faculty, and staff. SMCC prides itself on its cultural diversity.
The International Eduation program supports Maricopa Community College District’s strategic goal of participating in the global community and fosters a sense of understanding and appreciation for the many cultural influences that affect our lives.
SMCC’s Registration and Records Office assists international and F-1 students in obtaining their required foreign student enrollment documents and will help you obtain other required records.
The IIE Committee provides a wide variety of activities, education and support services for SMCC’s F-1 students, international students, and the campus community as a whole.
Contact the Registration and Records Office to learn how SMCC can assist you.
