Northern Arizona University at South Mountain Community College

This year, Northern Arizona University (NAU) and South Mountain Community College (SMCC) have teamed up to construct a new facility that will allow students to complete their bachelor’s degree on the SMCC campus after finishing their associate’s degree.

The 3,000 square foot facility is now complete, and will be open to the public during our SMCC/NAU Partnership Day, Monday, November 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and learn about this exciting new opportunity.

The new building houses three classrooms, faculty offices and offers interactive TV to students. The building is located southwest of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on the SMCC campus.

NAU and SMCC will offer degree programs in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, starting this fall. For registration information, contact Shari Gustafson at 602.728.9506 or via e-mail at shari.gustafon@nau.edu.

More bachelor’s degrees will be offered at the SMCC campus in the future, based on local interest and enrollment.

Students will be able to save time and money by taking their first two years at SMCC and their last two at NAU. Low tuition and no travel costs are other benefits.  An advisor will be available on campus to assist students with enrollment, and a local financial aid advisor will be available in Phoenix to assist students with questions and issues relative to financial aid.

Learn more about the benefits of this partnership at our new web site, www.maricopa.edu/connection.
